Bitter Gourd | કારેલા નુ શાક | Try this recipe and you will fell in love with it



Ingredients: 
Bitter Gourd (Karela)
1 chopped onion
1 chopped tomato
1 chopped potatoes
1/2 tbsp. Ginger garlic paste
1/2 cup Jaggry-Tamarind water
4-5 tbsp. Oil
1/2 cup water

1 tbsp. Cumin and mustard seeds
1 tbsp. Red chilli powder
Salt as per taste
1 tbsp. Cumin powder
1/2 tbsp. Turmeric powder 
1/2 tbsp. Garam Masala
1/2 tbsp. Asafoetida

Pre-preparation:
  1. Clean the bitter gourd from inside and remove the seeds from it
  2. Cut bitter gourd (Karela) into the ring shape
  3. Now to remove the bitter taste of karela take pressure cooker and boiled it until 1 whistle come
  4. Let the depressurise cooker and remove water from it. 
  5. Take a pan and add 4-5 tbsp. Oil
  6. Once the oil is hot then add cumin and mustard seeds to it
  7. Add Asafoetida
  8. Add chopped onions and let it fry until onions turn into golden brown colour
  9. Then add Potato slice and let it cook until potatoes cooked well.
  10. Add tomatoes and dry spices (chilli powder, Cumin powder, turmeric powder, Garam masala)
  11. Let it cook for 4-5 min.
  12. Meanwhile, take a pan to add 3 tbsp. oil and once oil is hot then add boiled karela to it.
  13. Cooked it for 3-4 min until karela has golden brown spots on it.
  14. Now add this to the curry 
  15. Add Tamarind and Jaggery water
  16. add more half cup water to make some gravy
  17. Cook it for another 4-5 min 
  18. Curry is ready to serve
Serve with Chapati, naan or bread.
